Jennifer Rutledge began her artistic journey at a young age and went on to receive her BFA in studio art with a concentration in painting and drawing from James Madison University. Her art has always been a reflection of her life around her, focusing on people in her life and places she has visited.   Figures are a favorite subject of hers, hoping to capture a moment in their life with the energy of her line. 

Jennifer is ready to begin her artistic career as a Richmond artist.  Her most recent focus of color and pattern, starting as a break from her larger pieces, has inspired several mini series that will be showing at Crossroads Art Center.  She is hoping the light hearted and fun collages reveal to the viewer the joy she experienced while creating them.
